The first session of the District Court in Kozhikod condemned Roopesh of Karikkamkulum in the city to a life prison in the case of murder in August 2021.
Roopesh stabbed one Rajeevan as he tried to close the sales sales of Sahir Ali in Kanhiramuk near Karikkamkumum on August 20, 2021. Rajeevan hit Ali and both injured. Rajeevan later died in Kozhikode Government Medical College Hospital.
The prosecution, represented by the prosecutor Shamsudhin N. and Rashmi RAM, submitted 43 witnesses, 47 documents and 10 evidence during the court, on the basis of the district judge of the NR Kršnakumar issued a judgment.
Roopesh was sentenced to life imprisonment, except that he was slapped with a fine of 1 lakh. He was also awarded the seven -year imprisonment and a fine of 50,000 GBP for attempting to murder Ali. In addition, he was asked to pay 1 Lakh 1 as a victim of the victim to the Rajeevan family and 25,000 GBP Sahir Ali. The case was investigated by the police Chevayur.
