
Thiruvananthapuram sentenced another meeting on Tuesday for 20 years and seven months of strict imprisonment for bringing his eleven -year -old nephew in 2014.
Another session of Judge Shibu, a deputy who found the accused, George Titus of the roundhoor, also slapped a fine of 1.55 500 GBP. He was found guilty of crimes according to Section 307 (attempted murder), 326a (voluntarily causing severe injuries by using acid, etc.), 341 (incorrect restrictions) of the Indian Criminal Code and the provisions of the Judicial Act (Care and Protection of Children), 2020.
According to prosecution led by a special prosecutor Ajith Prasad JK, the incident occurred on 22 May 2014 at the limits of the Police Station Pozhiyoor.
Hands tied
George, a cousin of his mother survivors, falsely accused the then student of class VI of stealing money to a neighbor. Then he tied his hands of the baby, pulled him into the kitchen, poured kerosene on him and lit him. The child suffered severe burns and was hospitalized for several months during which he underwent several operations.
The court noted that the attack resulted in permanent disabilities and disabilities for the child. The surviving, now young adult, suffers from molten fingers, arms connected to the shoulders and neck connected to the chest, making him unable to raise his head.
Given the brutality of the law and lifelong suffering caused by the surviving court, the convict ruled that the convict had not deserved any indulgence.
The prosecution introduced 12 witnesses and created 18 exhibits.
