An alleged incident of distribution of money to lure voters was reported on polling day during the Bagalkot Assembly constituency by-election on Thursday and the Bagalkot police registered a case against a man said to be a Congress worker.
Following a complaint by Vithal Naik, a member of the election air commando, cops at the Navanagar police station registered a case against Jaffar Bepari, allegedly a Congress worker. He faces charges of distributing money to voters in Bagalkot’s Vambe Colony.
