Carpenter, Ramesh, 51, gave up at the Banaswadi police station and allegedly confessed to killing his wife Kalaivani (47) over the family dispute on Friday, sources said.
Ramesh divorced his first wife with whom he had two children and married Kalaivani. Kalaivani, however, allegedly raised objections to him to contact his first wife and children. After fighting for this matter on Friday morning, he allegedly stabbed Kalaivani to death with a carpentry instrument. A few hours later he gave up before the police, the sources said.
The Banaswadi police booked him for the murder and arrested him.
