The 42 -year -old man was arrested for the alleged murder of his stolen wife in a bout of rage, which is suspected of rage in Electronics City on Friday evening.
The victim, identified as a 35 -year -old Sharada from BagePalli in the Chikkoballapur district, was employed as a home worker. According to the police, her husband Krishna, a daily work worker, often consumed alcohol and was often involved in arguments.
The police said that the couple had lived independently in the last few months due to ongoing domestic disputes. While their son stayed with Krishna, their daughter lived with Sharada.
“Krishna hid the suspicion of Sharad’s character and accused her of engaging in an extramarital relationship on several occasions. On Friday evening he allegedly went into her intoxicated state and attacked her with a knife before he escaped,” the police said.
The case was registered at the Electronics City police station, the officials said. “Within a few hours of the crime, we managed to detain the accused,” said the police officer, adding: “The investigation is currently underway to determine further details of the motive and circumstances.”
