The 28 -year -old man was allegedly stabbed to death by his brother -in -law at Gazipur in Kalaburagag on Saturday after a marital dispute. The deceased was identified as Anand Kumar Bilichakra.
The alleged incident occurred on Friday when Anand visited his wife’s house.
Anand and Sneha fell in love and married two years ago.
After Sneha was subject to harassment in her husband’s hands, she left her son -in -law and returned to stay with her parents. When Anand visited his sister -in -law’s place to meet his wife, there was a quarrel between him and his brother -in -law.
In the sudden escalation of Tony (Sneha’s brother) and his friends reportedly attacked the pineapple with a knife. He was admitted to the Trauma Care Center at the Gulbarga Institute of Medical Sciences (Gims) Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries on Saturday morning.
A case was registered at the Brahmapur police station. The police also arrested the defendant Tony and his friends involved in the crime.
