The 25 -year -old man was allegedly kidnapped and killed by Maoists for suspicion of a police informant in the Balaghat Madhya Pradesh district, officers said on Thursday (September 18, 2025). Two remarks were also obtained when the forbidden Communist Party of India (Maoist) took responsibility for the law.
According to the police, Devendra Yadav was kidnapped on Tuesday (September 16, 2025) around 19:00 near his Chauria village under the Lanji Police Station, participating in his cattle with another man. His body with several injuries was obtained on Thursday (September 18, 2025).
Shiyaz km, commander of the state of anti-Maoist Hawk Force, said Hindu that Malayshand Dalam (UNIT) Gondia-River-Gondgaon-Lalaghat) claimed the Maoists division for the law and fir under the murder.
Two notes were also obtained from the place from which it was kidnapped. One of the notes he saw the Hindus was accused by Yadava of the transfer of CPI information (Maoist) to the police and declared a “death penalty” for him, while others threatened to mix with the police.
The second note accused the police of “relocation, looting and provocation of the poor to fight each other”.
However, Mr Shiyaz denied that the individual was an informant. “He previously supplied dairy products to nearby areas, including some police controls, but never provided any information. On Tuesday (September 16, 2025), two men came to Devendra and his friend and accused the former information to the police and took it with them,” he said.
The officer said that the post -mortem post was carried out to find out how he was killed. “We launched search parties that tracked the accused. Once the message is a mortem outside, we will also look for weapons used to kill,” he added.
Mr Shiyaz said this was the first such incident in the district since 2023.
