
A man who cheated on more job seekers by acting as a recruitment agent for government positions was arrested by the Commissioner Hyderabad working group in the northern zone in coordination with the Trimulgherry Police.
The defendant, identified as Kollapuram Sravan Kumar, 36, focused on job seekers by promising meetings in the Cantonment Cantonment in Secunderab, including roles such as food inspectors and election leaders. The police claim that he had taken preliminary payments and then cut off all the contact with them, nor did he fulfill the promises or return the money.
In one case, in September 2024, he was accused of collecting 22,000 ₹ from a woman named Srilekha with a promise of employment in the Ministry of Defense. Reportedly, he also cheated on a man named Pavan of 35,000 GBP in Bowenpally, Srinivas of 20,000 GBP and Vishal of 32,000 GBP in Begumpet and Sai Krishna of Vemulawada for 50,000 GBP.
According to the officer, he was previously arrested in six similar cases that date back to 2019. After restoring in 2024, he ran and has so far continued his fraud under the radar.
