A 33-year-old man was brutally hacked to death with lethal weapons in Salhalli village of Kalgi taluk of Kalaburagi district late on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Shankar Naranal, a resident of Kodli village.
According to the police, CCTV footage shows three men from Kodli village coming towards Salhalli village on a motorcycle and two of them attack Shankar with deadly weapons, killing him on the spot.
The exact motive for the murder is still unknown.
Kalgi police who visited the spot conducted an inspection.
A case has been registered. Police said they are trying to arrest the accused.
