
A 20-year-old man was found dead after he was allegedly assaulted by his friends in Banjara Hills on Saturday night.
The victim, Raghuveer Roy, was a resident of Uday Nagar and was appearing for the SSC board exams. “He was 20 years old but now he was chasing his class X,” said Banjara Hills Superintendent of Police S. Suhasan, adding that the accused is a 17-year-old juvenile.
According to investigators, Raghuveer was walking with three teenage friends when an argument broke out between them at Gowri Shankar Colony. “During the argument, Raghuveer allegedly held the minor by the collar, after which the latter punched him two to three times on the temple,” the officer explained.
The attack resulted in internal bleeding and bleeding on the brain. Later that night, Raghuveer was found unconscious at Hanging Gardens in Banjara Hills and was taken to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
