Security personnel at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru came across yet another ‘money bag’ incident after a man was found carrying ₹6 cash while trying to enter the premises.
According to police, the cash was discovered during a routine bag check at the point of entry. Officials immediately stopped the man and questioned him, saying that carrying such a large amount of cash inside the premises was not allowed.
During interrogation, the man claimed that he had come to collect the letterhead from the MLA. He told the police that his relative was unwell and was admitted to the hospital and that he had brought cash for medical expenses and wanted to meet the MLA to get a referral letter to reduce the bill amount.
Police detained the man and took him to the office of ACP, Vidhana Soudha Security, for further questioning. After verifying his explanation, the police allegedly released him and returned the money.
The incident occurred amid heightened vigilance at the Vidhana Soudha following similar incidents in the past.
