Man booked for allegedly threatening Prime Minister on social media

Police have registered a case against a man identified as Mithun, a native of Chettippadi near Parappanangadi in Malappuram district, for allegedly threatening to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a video posted on social media.

According to the police, Mithun is being treated for mental illness and has been admitted to a government mental health center in Kozhikode. The police are also collecting details of those who posted comments allegedly promoting religious hatred. As part of the investigation, legal action will be initiated against them, the police said.
