Man beaten to death by brother over land dispute in Kalaburagi village

A land dispute between two brothers ended in tragedy when a 34-year-old man was allegedly murdered by his sibling at Bhupal Tegnoor village in Kalaburagi taluk on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Dhanaraj Mailari Shellagi, a resident of the village. His brother Shivaraj Shellagi is facing murder charges in connection with the incident.

According to police, an argument broke out between the brothers over the cultivation of agricultural land while they were having lunch in a field. As the argument escalated, Shivaraj allegedly hit Dhanaraj on the head with a heavy stone. Dhanaraj died on the spot.

The incident created tension in the village. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
