The man who comes from Srinivaspura was arrested on Tuesday for killing his wife in their house in Bommanahall.
The accused, identified as Harish Kumar, had previously worked in a private company and is currently unemployed, was reserved for the murder of his wife, identified as Padmaja, 29, who is also an engineer employed in a private company in the city.
The couple had two daughters aged 3.5 and 1.5 years.
Sarah Fathima, DCP, Southeast Division, said the couple came from Srinivasaph and stayed in Bengalur.
According to the police, the defendant came home drunk and selected the fighting with victims for trivial problems. On the day of the incident, Harish and Padmaja argued for his shopping. When the arguments escalated, Harish reportedly strangled Padmaja, attacked her and fell to the ground in a bout of rage on his neck.
The police said the accused had taken the victim to a nearby hospital when she was still, but the doctors declared her dead and warned the police. During the investigation, the 3.5 -year -old daughter told the couple the incident to officials, the police said.
