A 26-year-old man was arrested by the cyber crime branch of the Cyberabad police in connection with an international ‘digital arrest’ scam that defrauded victims of around ₹24 crore.
The accused, identified as Gajarla Avinash of Jagtial district, traveled to Cambodia on the pretext of data entry work but was subsequently involved in organized cyber fraud operations targeting Indian nationals.
