Police Govindapura arrested a man on Thursday for sexual harassment of a girl in daylight while recently outdoors to buy food.
The defendant, identified as Sharif Mohammad Maroof, now faces charges of sexual harassment and public indecency.
According to the police, Sharierie reportedly made obscene gestures and sexually harassed the victim in the middle of the road. The victim liberated, hurried home and informed her mother. Shocked, the family later turned to the police and filed a complaint.
On the basis of the complaint, the police traceded the accused through the CCTV shots obtained from and around the crime.
