The man was reportedly killed by his wife in his residence in Vattepally on Wednesday morning, allegedly for harassment and abuse of alcohol.
The victim was identified as Shaik Mohammed, 31. The incident appeared around 10.30 in the morning, then the Maidardardardevpally police rushed on the spot.
According to the police, Mohammed allegedly harassed his wife Shaik Fareed, 30, often demanded money while he remained unemployed and intoxicated. On Tuesday evening, the tension escalated and Fareed allegedly attacked him with a stone while he slept.
The body was moved to Osmania General Hospital for a postmort test.
The murder case has been reserved and further investigation is underway.
