Make sure students don’t wait long for Telangana RTC buses, says MD

With schools across Telangana slated to reopen from Monday (June 15) for the 2026-27 academic year, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) officials have been directed to ensure that enough public transport buses are available on all routes so that students do not face problems in commuting to schools.

Corporation Managing Director Y. Nagi Reddy on Sunday directed officials of all regions, depot managers to focus on regulating bus services according to school timings, especially for students who commute from rural areas. All previously operated bus lines must be restored.

The director said that since the academic year has 227 working days, the transport services were planned accordingly. Mr. Reddy said that services must be run exactly as per schedule so that students do not have to wait for long. Additional trips must be made if necessary.
