Over the last four years, the state government has provided an administrative sanction for tourism projects worth 168 Crore. Some of these projects have been completed while most others are approaching.
Significant completed projects include “Oceanus Chaliyam”, which transformed the CHALIYAM WLNOAM and a nearby area on the beach destination for the price of 9 53 Crore. The project “Nature Walkway” through Kadalundi Bird Sanctare was completed at the price of 1.43 Crore. In Pulikkayam in codekery, an international kayaking center was set up for the price of 1.63 Crore 1.63 GBP. Up to 1 1.74 GBP was spent in the first phase “Saram Nature Learning Center” in Saram Biopark in Kozhikode. The pond and its premises in Kuttichira were reconstructed at the price of 1.25 crore in two phases.
The tourism department provided an administrative sanction of 7.37 GBP for “Akasha Mithai”, the Vaikom Muhammed Basheer memorial was built in Beypore. The project is currently underway. The department introduced “facade lighting” in various parts of Kozhikode at the price of 4,46 GBP to support the night tourism. Special lighting in Manachira during the Christmas New Year’s season was highly appreciated.
As part of the Bepore and Beypore project and the reconstruction of the Tourism Tourism project, many projects are carried out. So far, work worth 9.94 GBP Crore has been spent on the first phase development of Beypore beach, which organizes the International Water Fest every year. Meanwhile, CRORE was sanctioned for the second phase of developing.
