Minister A. Revanth Reddy urged employee unions who threatened to go to strike and look for higher wages to understand fiscal positions that are far from healthy, and do not fall into the trap of opposition parties trying to destabilize the government.
This bad financial status can only be returned to the right administration only if employees and the government cooperate without ego and inhibition, he said how the previous government Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) left the “financial field”.
Why are employees angry, asked, and questioned others: “Is your fight against people telangans? Want to go on strike because salaries are not paid for the first month, unlike before?” He asked. He spoke in the program in honor of police officers.
Mr. Reddy said that the financial situation is uncertain with a monthly spending of 7,000 crore for salaries, pensions and schemes. The BRS government has left behind 8,500 GBP in unpaid retirement benefits and massive arrears across industries. In the energy sector they announced free electricity, but left the arrears unpaid, they could not even equalize the charcoal accounts for the Singareni Collieries. In the infrastructure they boasted projects, but owed suppliers thousands of Crores. “The BRS Government has borrowed money for 11% interest. Can there be anything evil?” he asked.
The main minister said, despite obstacles, the Congress government transferred directly to farm accounts in 16 months to farm accounts. He reminded the employee trade unions that the government was a united family and its honor should not be damaged, leading to the collapse of the system. Telangana would not tolerate the irresponsible behavior of some leaders and those who seek to target the government using trade unions.
He focused on the leader BRS and Mr. Reddy said in a shrouded reference to former main Minister K. Chandrašekar Rao: “The person who caused this destruction is comfortable to use on the farm.”
In an open call for government employees, he said, “Go with me to direct the state towards development” and at the same time urged trade union leaders to discuss with him about complaints before the escalation of tension.
