
After a year’s annual gap, Kerala is preparing for colorful and exciting celebrations on the entire length and width.
A showcase of drones in the state capital and presentation of indigenous art forms of almost 4,000 tribes will be some of the highlights of the weekly onam celebrations of the state government that will come here on Wednesday.
The celebrations organized by the Ministry of Tourism will be solemnly opening to the Chief Minister of Pinaraya Vijayan at the Kanakakkunn Palace at 6 pm, Tuesday on Tuesday, the Minister of Tourism PA Mohammad Riyas and Minister of General Education V. Sivankutty.
Guests will be guests and actor Basel Joseph and Tamil actor Ravi Mohan (Jayam Ravi).
The main guests will be the Minister for Food and Civil needs and leaders of the opposition of VD Satheesan. The introductory office will be attended by ministers, deputies, MLA and mayor of the city.
The opening ceremony will be followed by the cultural program of Kerala Kalamandalam and music and dance presentations.
The celebrations in the capital will take place in 33 locations and will include diverse and new events. Almost 10,000 artists will present different programs.
The Chandrasekharan Nair and University Stadium stadium will host a show of drones and lights from 5 to 7 September. The show will participate in almost 1,000 drones, which will present various aspects related to the state.
Foreign tourists
Foreign tourists from 10 countries such as Great Britain, France, Vietnam, Indonesia, Tai -wan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Romania and South Korea will participate in the celebrations of the Tourism Department. Visitors from other Indian countries will also become part of the celebrations. There will be a separate sitting facility to see the celebrations and a special lunch will be provided.
Mr. Sivanku said that the measures for celebrations were completed.
Valedictory celebrations will begin with a cultural procession from the Vellayambalam to East Fort 9 September.

Mr. Sivankutty and Mr. Riyas visited Governor in Raj Bhavan on Tuesday to officially invite him to celebrate. They also introduced “onakkodi”.
The governor expressed his readiness to attend Onam celebrations, Riyas said.
The subcommittee on Tuesday reviewed the arrangements on the cultural procession, including agreements for 165 floats, which are expected to be part of the procession. Each float will be accompanied by one policeman and volunteer, except for five officials of the department.
The seat arrangement was made for 5,000 people to see a two -hour procession on the basis of the first arrival.
The independent pavilion will be built to sit the main minister, governor, ministers, other dignitaries and foreign guests.
In the districts
Onam celebrations will be held in other districts as part of the Council for the Promotion of the District Tourism, Mr. Sivankutty said.
Mr. Riyas said that the state government for the celebrations of Onam was sanctioned by Crore 11,49 ₹.
