Bombay:The 25 -year -old man was arrested for the alleged killing of his mother after she did not wake up to cook food in Maharashtra’s Dhule District for him, the police said on Sunday.
The incident occurred on the night of May 24th in the village of Wathode in the Thalner area, said the clerk.
The Tipabai Para, 65, has prepared a fish food for her son Awlesha and left to sleep in their shack. The fragrance of the fish entered the house a stray dog and destroyed the food, said the clerk.
Awlesh returned home late at night and found that food was restless. The son, who was under the influence of alcohol, asked Tipabai to get up for him and cook fresh food, a police officer said.
When Tipabai did not respond, her drunken son was angry and broke the wooden stick on his head, the clerk said, quoting their investigation.
On Sunday morning, Awlesh woke up and saw his mother lying still. He called his relatives who threw themselves into their place and found that an older woman was dead with a serious head injury.
After being warned, the police took Awlesh into custody.
The clerk was registered against his son at the Thalner police station, adding that another probe was taking place.
