
Losing weight doesn’t have to be complicated; it’s about eating protein-rich foods in the right amount and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Many people start with high motivation and strict plans, often by searching the Internet or using artificial intelligence. That’s exactly what a doctor from Maharashtra, patient Sayajirao Gaikwada, did.
Kruhna Ingle, a resident of Palghar in Maharashtra, shared his remarkable weight loss journey on X (formerly known as Twitter). Ingle, who has struggled with obesity-related health issues for years, said he explored several options, including watching YouTube videos, online research and even seeking guidance from artificial intelligence.
After seeing little success, he eventually turned to Dr. Sayajirao Gaikwad of Kolhapur, who helped him adopt a structured nutrition and fitness plan. Ingle followed a diet high in protein and healthy fats, while significantly reducing his carbohydrate intake. As part of the routine, he ensured a daily protein consumption of 90-120 grams.
What changes has he made in his eating habits?
He eliminated sweets from his diet, allowing himself a small exception once a week, when he mixed 10-12 grams of sugar with yogurt. His eating habits were limited to two meals a day and he developed a habit of walking for 10 minutes after each meal. Dinner was planned at least two to three hours before bedtime.
How important was physical activity in his routine?
In addition to dietary changes, Ingle has incorporated regular physical activity into his routine. He walked 4-5 kilometers on the beach at least four days a week. Reflecting on improving his health, he wrote: “I had severe problems with acidity. Even after walking I felt tired. But when my weight came down to 78-80 kg, all the problems stopped.”
What did his daily meal look like?
His daily meals included fish, eggs, chicken, yogurt, legumes, and soy chunks, along with steamed vegetables, fruits, and salads. By January 2026, his weight had dropped to 72-73kg and he said he was aiming to get below the 70kg mark. Ingle also noted that a friend weighing around 99kg adopted the same routine and lost 4-5kg in just 20-25 days.

Dr. Sayajirao Gaikwad emphasized the broader lifestyle benefits Ingle experienced along with her weight loss. According to the doctor, the changes led to noticeable improvements, including better sleep, controlled hunger, reduced acidity, increased energy levels and improved mental peace.
