On Tuesday (July 1, 2025), the Maharashta government announced that it would provide ex gratii 4 lakh to another relative Warkaris (Lord Vitthala’s devotion) in the event of random death during the annual Pandharp.
The announcement was made through the government resolution (GR) issued by the Ministry of Income and Forest within the “Vitthal Rakhumai Warkari Yojana – 2025”, the aim of which was to expand financial relief to pilgrims who have taken a spiritually important way or by private or public transport.
Help for disability and hospitalization
According to GR, in the case of injury or disability during Wari, Warcaris, who suffers from 40% to 60% disabilities, will be capable of 74,000 GBP, while people with disabilities exceed 60% receive 2.5 lakh.
The state will also provide medical assistance for hospitalization – Warcaris received for more than one week will be entitled to 16,000 GBP and those hospitalized for less than a week will receive 5,400 GBP.
This program will apply to incidents that appear during the Wari period from 16 to 10 July 2025, covering devoted passengers to Shri Kshetra Pandharpur, a prominent temple city in the SOLAPUR district, known for the respect of Lord Vithal and the gods of Rakhumai.
The request and verification process
In order to demand financial assistance to Warcari or their heir, he must submit an application to the district collector, together with the certificate issued by the Ježsildar confirming the participation of the individual in Ashadhi Wari – 2025.
