“Since 6 May, farmers have been witnessing heavy to extreme rainfalls accompanied by storms and lightning throughout the state. Maharashtra is the largest onion producer.
“Due to the continuous rains every day, thousands of tons of onions are rotting in the fields, led to the financial losses of Crores Rupees, and farmers have already fought under the debt,” Digsole Hindu said.
