At least 82 people were killed in four stampede in Maha Kumbh, Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj 29.
The report said that families received at least 26 victims packages of £ 5 lakh each from Uttar Pradesh, but their names were not included among those who died of Stampede.
The relationship of 37 others who were officially declared dead was given a 25 ₹ Lakh compensation through checks or on their bank accounts.

So far, UTTAR Pradesh will officially release the names of 37 victims whose death has been recognized.

President of the Samajwadi Akhilesh Yadav, who responded to the report, accused Uttar Pradesh of lying on the number of victims and stated that those who provide “false statistics” are not worthy of public trust.
