Judge Vishal Mishhr on the Jabalpur bench heard a petition seeking steps against some companies associated with BJP MLA and former state minister Sanjay Pathak for alleged illegal mining.
The judge of the High Court in Madhya Pradesh left from hearing the petition in the alleged illegal mining case and stated that MLA Bharatiya Janata (BJP) “tried to call him” to discuss this matter.
Judge Vishal Mishhr on the Jabalpur bench heard a petition seeking steps against some companies associated with BJP MLA and former state minister Sanjay Pathak for alleged illegal mining. Pathak, a five -year -old MLA, represents Vijayrahavarh’s constituency in the district of Katni.
In the order of 1 September, the judiciary Misra said, “Mr. Sanjay Pathak tried to call to discuss this particular matter, so I do not tend to entertain this written petition.”
“Let the matter be placed in front of Hon’ble Chief justice for putting the matter in front of the bench for assessment,” Misra justice said.
The petition was filed in June by a notifier based in Katni, Ashutosh ‘Manu’ Dixit, against the wing of economic crimes (EOW) and claimed that no measures were taken in his complaints in which he accused society associated with Mr. Pathak and his family for excessive iron mining and other minerals.
“The accused concerned abuse of funds and excessive mining in the region. After EOW received a complaint, he handed over the matter to the main secretary of the mineral department to explore the matter and to indicate whether any recognizable crime was made,” said Madhur Shukla, who appeared for EOW.
While Mr. Dixit was looking for instructions to speed up the probe and register the company, Mr. Pathak’s family filed a petition in front of the High Court.
Saved sanctions
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Mineral Resources of the State Government also imposed sanctions on three companies – Nirmala Minerals, Anand Mining and Pacific Export – connected with Mr. Pathak and tried to get back 443 Crore for excessive mining and 80 GBP Crore for gst leakage.
Main Minister Mohan Yadav shared this information during the recent monsoon meeting of the Assembly. In his written response, Mr. Yadav said that in April the probes were created, which submitted his report in June, which led to an action against these three companies.
In an interview with Hinduit, Mr. Dixit claimed that Mr. Pathak’s companies “organized excessive mining of minerals beyond the sanctioned limits” in the Sihora area in the Jabalpur district and that the total fraud “makes a much higher amount”.
“This amount of 443 GBP and GST leaks should be obtained in 2017 and now, if we include excessive mining, sanctions and license fees that have avoided, 18% of GST and interest, the loss caused by the state treasure without proper religion.”
Panhak did not answer the Hindu request for commentary on this matter. Mr. Pathak, the former Congress of the MLA, was introduced to the BJP in 2014. It is the second richest MLA in the assembly with declared assets CRORE 242.
