A large-scale job scam has come to light in Madhapur after nearly 400 people were allegedly duped by a bogus IT company operating under the name of NSN Infotech.
The case came to light when more than 20 victims approached the Madhapur police on Wednesday (November 26) alleging that they were duped after paying ₹80-90 lakh in the hope of securing employment.
According to Madhapur inspector Krishna Mohan, the complainants said they were contacted by a firm promising IT jobs and demanding ₹2,000 to ₹3,000 from each candidate. After collecting the money, the accused disappeared, leaving the aspirants jobless and without compensation. The fraudulent activities are believed to have continued for nearly a year.
One of the victims, Prabhakar, filed a formal complaint, on the basis of which a case was registered against Srinivas, the firm’s managing director, director Swamy Naidu and HR staff Aruna. Police said investigations are underway to trace the accused and determine the full extent of the fraud.
