A few stellar Indian men Satwiksairaj Ranlreddy and Chirag Shetty launched the Macau Open Super 300 campaign with a commanding victory with straight games, while the top female doubled Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand in surprising upset.
Satwik and Chirag, the ruling Asian Games champagne, showed their class with a clinical victory of 21-13, 21-15 over Malaysia with low Yee Hang and NG ENG Cheong. The match, which lasted only 36 minutes, marked a confident return for an Indian couple, who also won its place in the first 10 BWF ranking on Tuesday.

Although the Malaysian couple briefly closed the gap to 10-9, Satwik and Chirag increased Ante to seal the first game 21-13. The other game saw a stiffer resistance, while the Malays at one point watched only 13-14. However, the Indians joined four consecutive points to pull away and wrap the match without much stir.
On the other hand, disappointment in female doubles when the best -deployed Indian couple Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand fell on the Chinese Taipei Lin Xiao min and Pengu Yu Wei. Despite the first game 21-16, the Indians lost dynamics and finally dropped 21-16, 20-22, 15-21 in a hard battle that lasted an hour.

In the men’s singles, however, there was a failure because Meirab Luwang Maisnam failed to get around the qualifying phase, in the second round he lost 15-21, 21-17, 13-21 on the Chinese Zhu Xuan Chen.
While the dominant display Satwik and Chirag increased the hope of deep run, the early departure of Trees and Gayatri came as a blow to the Indian campaign in the women’s doubles category.
