Out-of-favour Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal recently celebrated another off-field milestone by buying a new luxury car. On December 22, Chahal took to his X handle to share pictures of the new vehicle, catching the attention of fans on social media. He proudly posed alongside his parents in the photos and highlighted the purchase as a personal and family moment of joy.
Captioning the pictures, Chahal wrote, “Bringing home my new car with two people who made every dream possible. Watching my parents witness and enjoy this milestone is a real luxury.”
Chahal is known for his luxury car collection, which previously included high-end brands like the Porsche Cayenne S, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Rolls-Royce and Lamborghini Centenario – vehicles priced from around Rs 70 crore to over Rs 6 crore in India.
Chahal recently revealed that he has been away from competitive cricket after being diagnosed with dengue and chikungunya. The seasoned rider has not featured on the home circuit since his last outing for Haryana on November 30, having been sidelined due to illness.
As a result, Chahal missed the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy final in Pune where Haryana trumped Jharkhand in the final. The 34-year-old has also refrained from setting any clear timetable for his comeback, leaving his return date uncertain for now.
His absence was further extended for the Vijay Hazare Trophy, with Chahal failing to make the squad for the tournament, which is scheduled to begin on December 24.
Chahal is part of the Punjab Kings (PBKS) squad in the Indian Premier League 2025. She was bought by the franchise for Rs 18 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction, making him one of the most expensive spinners in the history of the league.
Chahal has been a key member of PBKS throughout the season, playing an important role in their bowling attack and even scored a hat-trick against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
