Industrialist Harsh Goenka is known for his unpredictable and provoking contributions to social media-and his last is no exception. The video shared on the X microblogging site quickly became viral for its unique and interactive approach to testing lung health.
A video shared by Goenka and now widely circulated is a simple and engaging test to check the lung health. The concept is straight: the red dot slowly moves down the vertical line while you are in order to hold your breath after a deep inhalation. As the dot descends, it exceeds different screen checkpoints, each of which represents different levels of lung capacity.

The test begins with the word “inhalation” at the top, which caused the viewers to take a deep breath. When the red dot performs its slowed path down, the labels pass like “Hold your breath”, “smoker / drinker”, “average on the ground”, “healthy lungs”, “sports player” and finally “swimming lung”. These labels act as milestones that indicate how long they can hold your breath – potentially reflecting their pulmonary power or lifestyle.
If you can hold your breath around the “diameter on the ground”, your lungs are considered average. Achieving “healthy lungs” suggests good lung capacity, while it lasts until the “sports player” or “lungs of the swimmer” points to the excellent respiratory condition.

Goenka joined the trend and shared a screenshot of its own result and showed that the red dot would reach the level of the “sports player”. He wrote that he wrote it, “The state of my lungs.”
Here’s a way that social media users reacted:
One user wrote: “@grok” – suggests surprises or questioning the test.
Another commented, “I’m not a swimmer, but I have achieved this level. He makes me happy.”
The third user shared: “I smoked from 1978 to 2020-came with half a cigarette and finally around 2004–205 went up to 60 a day and stayed at this level for 15 years. Stop 28 February 2020
The fourth user said, “I don’t pay … but my lungs are just as good.”
