Vinicius JR appreciated Modric’s grace, brilliance and humility, called his football “pure art” and emphasized the kindness and respect he showed his teammates.
“How difficult it is to say goodbye, Luka … Your story in Madrid is unbeatable – 13 seasons, 28 titles – all written with grace, brilliance and humility that has taught me more than a thousand words where your football could be pure art, but your kindness and respect have always been gifts,” Vinicius wrote.
Even the former teammate Luka Modricová and the head goalkeeper Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo, could not refrain from recognizing the Croatian Maestra. The Portuguese star dropped their retirement to Modric’s sincere commentary and remembered their famous years together in Santiago Bernabe.
Jude Bellingham was thinking about the privilege to be a teammate of Modric and emphasized his humility and generosity in and off the field.
