
A few days before the start of the IPL 2026 season, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjiv Goenka shared a message on social media that grabbed attention online.“I measure people by the results they deliver, not the hours they sit at a desk without delivering anything. Output is the only honest metric,” Goenka said in a post on X.The post did not mention any individual, but several users linked him to former LSG captain KL Rahul, who is no longer part of the franchise setup, while some linked him to current LSG captain Rishabh Pant.“Was it for pant ke liye kl rahul,” the user asked. “Digging in Rishabh Pant?” wondered another.The timing of the post is close to the new season of IPL where LSG will start with a changed team composition.Goenka and Rahul were earlier involved in a heated moment during the IPL 2024 which attracted attention. After the match, the screens showed Goenka in an animated conversation with Rahul on the field, leading to a discussion about the environment of the team and management. Rahul later switched from the franchise before last season. KL Rahul will play for Delhi Capitals (DC) in IPL 2026.A recent post has not been confirmed to be associated with any player.LSG will start their IPL 2026 season on April 1 against Delhi Capitals. In 2025, they finished seventh in the points table. The team is still in search of their first IPL trophy and will be aiming for a strong and consistent performance this season. The BCCI has announced that the first phase of IPL 2026 will be held from March 28 to April 12.
