
For electric vehicles (EV) operated by the State Electrical Council of Keral (KSEB), a new rate entered into force.
The time arrangement (TOD) is specially designed to support EV charging during the day (solar clock) when solar energy is available.
The general energy fee approved by the electricity regulation in Kerala is 7.15 GBP per unit, but offers 30% discount for billing during the sundial (9:00 to 16:00) for non -acid hours (4:00 to 9:00), the rate is 30% higher.
As part of this, the energy fee for the sundial is 5 ₹ and for non -volume hours, 9.30 GBP. Customers must also pay obligation, service fee and 18% tax on goods and services (GST).
For AC chargers, the solar clock rate is 8.50 GBP per unit plus 18% GST. (8.50 GBP consists of energy fee, obligation and service fee). For non -acid hours, the rate is 14.23 GBP plus 18% GST.
For DC-type, charger is fexal at 16.5 GBP plus 18% GST. For non -acid hours, the rate is 23.23 GBP plus 18% GST.
The rates that were completed on the basis of December 5, 2024, entered into force for the Commission for Electricity Commission and the instructions of the Ministry of Energy of the Union last Friday 16:00, KSEB said.
New rates are aimed at promoting green mobility by promoting EV charging during the sunshine, as renewable energy sources are not available at night.
