Lord Kodandarama’s process idol was taken on ‘Simha Vahanam’ and ‘Muthyapu Pandiri Vahanam’
On the third day of the nine -day festival, the idol was majestically sitting on the heavenly carrier that resembled a lion and knocked out a colorful parade around the temple in the morning. In the evening, the idol was taken on the “Muthyapu Pandiri Vahanam”, a pearl canopy.
The process was led by Pedda Jeeyangar and Chinna Jeeyangar, older and junior Pope Tirumal Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
Local temples
Meanwhile, TTD announced that it would perform an annual “Brahmotsavams” in various local temples. The temples in the TTD perimeter other than Tirumala are commonly known as local temples.
Brahmotsavam will be held in the ancient Sri Kodandarama temple in Chandragiri from 6 to 14 April. The “Ankurpanam” initiation ritual will be carried out on April 5. “Koil Alwar Tirmanjanam”, which will represent cleaning of precincts that will happen in Innersi Walls 1.
Similarly, the Sri Pattabhirama temple in Valmikipuram in the district of Annamayya will perform festivities from 3 to 11 April with “Anekurpanam” 2 April.
Important festival days include “Dhwajarohanam” (April 4), “Rathotsavam and Dhoolam” (April 9), “Paruveta Utsavam”, “Vasanthotsavam”, “Chakra Snanam and Dhwajavarohanam” (Aprim 11).
“Sita Rama Kalyanam” will be held on April 8, where the events will take part in the couples (Grihastha). The Seva ticket costs 500 GBP. EOM
