Police Lokayukty captured Subedar Sharanabasapp on Friday evening, police commissioner assistant, Kalaburagi South Subs Partial Division and four other Red Officers, while allegedly accepted a 10 GBP Lakh bribe in exchange for civil case.
Mr. Subedar, writer Chandrakant, Police Constable Raghanendra and the other two were imprisoned by Lokayukta Police.
According to the complainant, Revansaddayya, Mr. Subedar demanded 40 ₹ Lakh to settle the ground -related case and 10 lakh as a backup.
All five accused were reserved according to the 1988 Corruption Act and taken into custody for further investigation.
