Human Resource Development Minister Nara Lokesh on Thursday directed officials to allocate basic infrastructure works in government schools to School Management Committees (SMCs) and ensure their speedy completion.
In a review meeting with senior officials from the school education and secondary education department, Mr. Lokesh said that steps should be taken to ensure that all government schools in the state have at least 3-star infrastructure. “There are 60 schools with more than 1,000 students across the state,” he said and directed the officials to focus on providing 5-star facilities in these schools.
