Lokayukta Sleuths on Tuesday carried out current raids on Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) Ramacandra in Sannur Gram Panchayat in the district of Kalaburagagi. The raids were part of the investigation of accusations of gathering assets disproportionate to its known sources of income.
The operation that started early in the morning covered more places.
One of the primary targets was the Ramacandra Residence in Manasa Residency Layout, opposite the Buddha Vihar, Sedam Road, near the University campus in Kalaburagagi. Another residence located in the village of Bommanahalli in Talikote Taluk from the Vijayapura district was also subjected to search.
In addition to these residential properties, the Office of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDPR) in Kalaburagagi was nailed.
Lokayukta also made a search in the residence of Engineer Mallikarjun Alipur, located near the Mother of Teresa in Jewargi Cross in Kalaburagag.
The operation was also property in Bengalur.
The raids were executed by several teams Lokayukta, which consisted of higher officers, including police representatives (Lokayukta) Geetha Binal, Hanumanth Ray, Silwant and Rajasekhar.
Inspectors Santosh and Arun Kumar together with other police staff were also involved in the operation.
Police (Lokayukta) BK Umesh said in a statement that Lokayukty officials are investigating the suspicion of illegal wealth allegedly accumulated by Ramacandra. The search is expected to bring further evidence and detailed publication of cash, confiscated documents or assets is expected to continue the investigation.
