A. Chandrakanth, the main officer of Koppa Town Panchayat, arrested Karnataka Lokayukta on Tuesday for a bribe of 25,000 GBP from the supplier.
The police captured the officer after the complaint of the supplier. The accused allegedly requested a bribe of 50,000 GBP to clean the 7.5 ₹ Lakh account related to the road. The supplier who is not willing to pay a bribe complained Lokayukta.
A team of officers led by the superintendent police Tirumalesh arrested the officer and arrived bribe.
