Lok Sabha came on Wednesday, July 30, a resolution for the expansion of the President’s government in manipuro by another six months.
“What may be more evidence of the return of peace than the fact that only one death has occurred since the presidential government was deposited. There has not been victims in the last four months,” he said.
The Minister said it was important to have the president’s government in the manipure to ensure that peace was set.
“I want to say that there is peace … The situation of the law and order is also under control. It is making full efforts to eliminate the differences between the two ethnic communities through dialogue to determine the permanent peace,” he said.
Nityanand Rai has moved the legal solution for discussion in Lok Sabha. He rejected the claim of Congress MEP Anto Antony that the manipur conflict was a religious clash.
“Violence in manipuro was ethnic. It was not a conflict between two religions,” the minister said.
The OM Birla speaker said that the President’s rule was stored in manipure 13 February and the House approved it on April 2. The approval of the President’s government by parliament is valid for six months.
Om Birla said: “If the president’s rule must be extended for another six months, the statutory resolution must be approved by both houses of parliament.”
Congress member, Bimol Akoijam, opposed the expansion of the President’s government as he demanded elections in the state. He said he was unfortunate that, despite the full majority, the BJP was unable to create a government in manipure.
“We should have a new mandate in a manipure state,” Akoijam said.
