Ganesha Utsav committees will have to provide the company to the local authorities that they will not install idols of Ganesha made from plaster Paris (POP) in public pandals during the upcoming Ganesha festivities in the state.
The Minister of the ESHwar Khandre said on Thursday that the local authorities were instructed to get the company from Ganesha Utsa committees, that they would not use the pop ganesha idols before granting a Pandal setup permission.
He said that in the UDUP districts, Dakshina Kannada and Uttara Kannada in the UDUP districts, 90% of devoted worship only Clay Ganesha idols.
“If this can be done in these three districts, why not in the rest of the state? For this reason, the state administration, district administration, taluk administration and local authorities should create awareness,” he said.
After the flip -flops rupture during the parades of Ganesha, he said he was referring to the public to use green biscuits.
“The Supreme Court ordered that biscuits exceeding 125 decibels should not be burst and that they should only be burst between 20:00 and 22:00, each must follow these rules.”
