Liverpool has been hit with more bad news following their recent defeats in the Champions League and the Carabao Cup final.
As reported by BBC Sport, Reds midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has sustained an injury, forcing him to withdraw from the Dutch national team squad.
Gravenberch has been one of the standout performers in the Premier League this season, emerging as a key figure in Arne Slot’s side as they sit atop the table and edge closer to securing the title.
However, Liverpool’s momentum has been disrupted by back-to-back losses to Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle, raising concerns about potential cracks in their form.
The timing of new injuries couldn’t be worse for the Reds, with Trent Alexander-Arnold already sidelined during the weekend’s Wembley clash and Gravenberch now also nursing a problem.
Gravenberch’s injury is a concern, but Liverpool’s midfield depth offers hope

Liverpool fans will be hoping Gravenberch’s injury isn’t serious, with his withdrawal from Netherlands training potentially just a precautionary measure.
Even if Slot has to manage without the 22-year-old for a short period, the Reds have sufficient depth in midfield to cope. Players like Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Curtis Jones, and Wataru Endo provide solid options in the center of the park.
While none of these players replicate Gravenberch’s unique qualities, Liverpool should be able to manage if his absence is short-term. The team’s upcoming fixtures also appear favorable, with matches against Everton, Fulham, West Ham, and Leicester City in their next four league games.
