Liverpool have agreed terms with PSG for Bradley Barcole in a £123m deal

Liverpool are closing in on a blockbuster move for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, with reports on Saturday claiming the Premier League club have reached an agreement for the France international in a deal that could be worth up to £123 million (US$166.43 million).

According to the BBC, Liverpool will pay £106m initially for the 23-year-old, with a further £17m in potential add-ons. The Athletic reported that Barcola is expected to put pen to paper on a five-year deal. Neither Liverpool nor PSG have yet commented on the news.

Barcola joined PSG from Lyon in 2023 and enjoyed a very successful spell in Paris. During his time at the French giants, he helped the club win back-to-back Champions League titles in 2024-25 and 2025-26, along with three Ligue 1 trophies and two French Cups.

The striker leaves behind an impressive record of 39 goals and 37 assists in 152 games in all competitions, despite still having two years left on his contract with PSG.

Should the move go through, Barcola would become the latest marquee signing in Liverpool’s rebuilding project under new manager Andoni Iraola. The club has already strengthened the squad with Ronald Araujo, Jeremy Jacquet and Victor Munoz during the transfer window.

Liverpool’s attack has undergone a significant change following the departure of Mohamed Salah. British record signing Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo, Rio Ngumoha and Munoz are among the options available to Iraola, while Hugo Ekitike faces an extended spell on the sidelines with a long-term injury. Barcola’s arrival would add another big name to the attack as it enters a new era at Anfield.

Liverpool started their new Premier League season with a 2-2 draw against Newcastle United. The likes of Isak, Florian Wirtz and others have yet to make their mark in the side.
