Liverpool reportedly broke the British transfer record by ensuring the signature of Florian Wirtz in an agreement with a blockbuster worth 116.5 million euros – emphasized their intention to stay on the peak of English football, a process that also defends their title as Premier League champions.
The agreement with Bayer Leverkusen includes 100 million in advance, while another 16.5 million in bonuses bound to performances and milestones. If these conditions were met, it would have darkened the 115 million Chelsea for Moises Caicedo last year, making Wirtz the most expensive player in British football history. While Liverpool has impressed many people in this year’s performance, in the new ARNE slot era, by winning the Premier League, their European performance lacked the district.
Liverpool was eliminated from the Champions League after he lost to Paris Saint-Germain, possible champion, in round 16. Now, the slot is now clearly planning European glory, with Wriritz almost in his arsenal.
Wirtz, one of the most interesting young midfielders in Europe, attracted interest from the best clubs, including Manchester City and Bayern Munich. But Liverpool moved quickly and definitely as soon as it became clear that a 22 -year -old man was excited about moving to Anfield. The city reportedly withdrew from the race due to increasing financial requirements, while Bayern remained behind after Wirtz expressed a clear preference for Merseyside.
The German International is expected to complete this step after the next week. It is not expected that personal conditions will be an accident block, while Wirtz has fully decided to join the Premier League champions.
Liverpool has recently rushed to Leverkusen Full-Back and Writz’s former teammate Jermie Frimpong after Trenta Alexander Arnold’s departure to Real Madrid.
This agreement also means a new Liverpool milestone and exceeds their previous signature of Darwin Nunez’s record, which arrived in 2022 potentially increased to 85 million. This time, however, there is no ambiguity – Wirtz’s fee will firmly plant Liverpool at the peak of the history of the British transfer.
Wirtz came from the star season in the Bundesliga and registered 10 goals and 12 assists in just 25 starts for Leverkusen. His creativity and intelligence were helpful in their strong domestic campaign, and he continued to impress the international scene and scored for Germany in the last semifinals of the League of Nations.
