The priest of Shamshabad, who was previously arrested for the murder of his niece, was sentenced to life prison by the Rangareddy District Court on Wednesday 26th March. The court also slapped a fine of 10 lakh.
The defendant Ayyagari Venkata Surya Sai Krishna, 36, worked as a priest in the temple of Bangar Maisamma in Saroornagar and was also a supplier of buildings. He had an extramarital ratio with the victims of Karuganti Apsar after visiting his house in Saroornagar in April 2022. Their relationship continued until March 2023, when the Apsar allegedly asked him to take it and threaten to exhibit his affair. Sai Krishna feared social shame and decided to kill her.
3 June 2023 convinced the apsar to plan a trip to Coimbatore and later took her to his car to Zavrang Venture in the village of Narku in Shamshabad. There he hit her with a cover and blocked her with a stone and killed her on the spot. Instead of immediately destroying the body, he left him two days inside his car before throwing him into the drainage of the Sro in Saroornagar, covering it with soil and cement.
In an attempt to introduce his family, June 4 met with the Apsar mother and accompanied her to the police station of the International Rajiv Gandhi (RGIA) to file a complaint with the missing person.
However, the inconsistencies in his statements and mobile towers have led the police to arrest him and admitted to the offense of June 5.
