Litton Das acknowledged that the defeat of Pakistan in the upcoming T20i series would be a heavy challenge. Thirty -year -old recently led Bangladesh to their first victory T20i over Sri Lanka, sealed victory with the triumph of eight goals in the final match At the stadium R. Premadasa in Colombo.
In front of Sri Lanka T20i, Bangladesh had another successful series against Western India and emphasized the Bangladeshi growing power in the format.
However, Litton warned that the conditions in Dhaka – especially rainy weather – could make the launch difficult during the Pakistan series.
“Both victories of the series are huge for me. Bitting West Indies in their backyard is massive. They are a strong team under their conditions. It’s the same in Sri Lanka. They are also a balanced team.
“I don’t know how Mirpur’s goal will behave during the Pakistan series. I think it is raining every day in Dhace, so the goal can be difficult for launching,” Litton said after the 3rd T20i.
“Pakistan has a diversity in a bowling attack”
Litton Das stressed that Bangladesh would have to work hard to overcome Pakistan, quoting their strong bowling attack and familiar with local conditions. He pointed out that many Pakistani players attended several editions of Bangladeshi Premier League (BPL), which provided them with valuable experience in Bangladesh.
To ensure the victory of the series, Litton said, Bangladesh must focus on playing a smart, disciplined cricket.
“It will not be easy to take Pakistan in Mirpur. They have a variety in a bowling attack. They also play a lot of BPL, so they know our conditions quite well. I know we can win matches against them if we play a smart cricket,” Litton added.
The first T20i is scheduled for 20 July, with all three matches playing at the Sher-E-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
