All toddy and wine shops, bars attached to restaurants and army canteens, including bars in star hotels and registered clubs, in six municipalities under Cyberabad commissionerate will remain closed in view of the upcoming municipal elections. According to the order, all liquor stores in these areas will remain closed from 5:00 p.m. on February 9 to 6:00 p.m. on February 11, 2026, for the duration of the election period. On counting day, February 13, establishments will remain closed from 6:00 a.m. until the counting process is completed and the results announced.
In a notification issued on Saturday, Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh said the closure will cover facilities located in Indresham, Isnapur and Gaddapotharam villages in Serilingampally zone and Yellampet, Aliyabad and Mudichinthalapally in Quthbullapur zone.
In Isnapur municipality, the ordinance applies to Lakdaram, Chitkul, Isnapur and Rudraram villages, while in Gaddapotharam municipality, it applies to Gaddapotharam, Khajipally and Madharam villages. In Mudichinthalapally municipality, the restriction applies to Kolthur village.
