Consumer tax officials and excise duty prohibition with confiscated liqueur bottles in Hyderabad.
The illegal liqueur missile operating from a private residence in Mansoorabad, Saroornagar, was discovered by officials from the excise duty department and the ban on telangan. A total of 45 bottles of unpaid liqueurs were confiscated after the raid in the area, worth approximately 1.2 Lakh.
The defendant, Akshay Kumar, 30, was obtained by a liqueur from the states where the price is lower – Goa, Delhi, Haryan and Pandjab and stored illegally in Hyderabad. The officials said he had transformed part of his house into a mini-liquor shop where he sold alcohol with promotional offers to attract the buyer.
Among the confiscated bottles were 23 from Goa, eight from Delhi and Haryan, one of the paňjab and nine dirty bottles.
The survey revealed that the accused used his frequent international travel under the pretext of photographic tasks as covering alcohol smuggling.
The case has been reserved and further investigations are underway.
