Two youth were killed on Sunday and four other injured in a lightning strike in the village of Katriki in Kowtham. The deceased were identified as 18 -year -old Ashok and 19 -year -old Balaiah.
The group of youth gathered to play cricket in an open field on Sunday. During the game the weather changed, brought rain and light winds. The youth wrapped the game and left as the lightning hit. Ashok and Balaiah died on the spot. The four other who suffered injuries were hurried to the nearby government hospital, the doctors reported that the situation of two was critical.
