
Leopard imprisoned in a cage set to tiger, which in Karuvarakund on Friday
Leopard was caught in a trap set for a tiger, who attacked a man in Adakkakund near Kalikav on Friday in the district in the district. The forest department set up cages in several places around the Adakkakund to capture the tiger who killed Gafoor Ali, a 44 -year -old rubber tapper, 15 May.
The adult leopard was caught in a cage established in the C-1 division from Kerala Estate in Karuvarakund. Leopard partially consumed a goat used as a bait for tigers.
However, the locals prevented forest officials from the release of Leopard in Nedumkayam Forest. They organized a protest by blocking officials. The protest ended after the higher forest officials assured that the leopard would be moved to the Thrissur Zoo.

The Kalikava and Karuvarakund areas were clamped with fear since May 15th. The large team of forest staff, led by the main veterinary surgeon Arun Zachariah, follows the tiger with the support of drones. More than 50 tracking cameras were installed to monitor the elusive animal.
Despite this effort, the locals reported that in recent days they had seen a tiger in several places near Karavarakund.
